2nd Round.

For my second round, I'm going to continue
the no Mon-Fri desserts thing,
plus I will add some exercise to it too.
.
I want to EXERCISE 3 times a week:
at least 30 mins of cardio (walking or jogging),
and at least 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups.
I'll do this for two weeks and see how it goes.

Cut carbs-

The next couple weeks, I have decided to not only avoid eating the sweets during the week, but to also reduce my carbs. I was proud of myself for sticking with the plan but I now want to try to lose some weight and I know this wil help. My reward will be the weight I lose and shopping for the pillows, once I decide what I want.

Pillows

Well, here we are into the second week. Last night I had brownies, ice cream with hot fudge, and boy it tasted good. No, I didn't blow my fitness goal, it was only in a dream, but I really think I tasted it. (I hope that doesn't count)

I have finally decided on my reward. New pillows for my living room. I need a little color in my life.

I did it!


Well, I did it. I made it through the first week. Believe it or not it was not that hard. Tonight we had ice cream, boy did it taste good.

Here's a picture of Jacob with the ice cream, I think he would love some - someday.

Now for the reward. I wanted to have Jacob but Mom and Dad said NO, so I'm still thinking of what I really want and I'll get back as soon as I come up with it.

I really want some ice cream right now...

BUT I am strong and am not going to give in. I am amazed at how many times I want a little piece of chocolate or candy throughout the day. So far so good I am proud to report. As a result of my abstaining from "sweets" I have eaten some carrots, a banana, 2 small salads, and part of an orange today (amongst of things of course). All of which I'm sure I would not have consumed if "sweets" were still in the picture.

My reward for success for 2 weeks is going to be some shoes. I havent found them yet but when I do I'll know. And just in case I cant find just the right shoes for my reward, the runner up is a new skirt or church outfit.

Sugar Withdrawals! (Already)

Anyone else have a piercing headache today? Maybe its just me, or my work, or the weather, or stress... but I'm kinda convinced I’m going through sugar withdrawals. Is that a for real thing? Btw, in trying to Google-search for a pic for this post, I came across this site with info on how to make sugar skulls!

Maybe we should make some of thess as a reminder that...
Sugar is the Devil!!

Great idea to invite others to join. Mom is already on board, but the prize she wants for her success is nothing less than our first-born child. Really. That's what she said. Looks like grandma has a favorite grandkid! :)

Ok, but I've finally decided on my reward. A little less ambitious than acquiring another human being... but cool just the same. My reward is going to be a SPACE pen!! That's right... a pen that is so cool, it can write in outer space! I saw one of these pens when we were Christmas shopping last month, and thought it would be a fun, gimmicky, conversational-piece-thing to have. ...and it can write in SPACE!! I mean, come on, how cool is that?!!!
